Pictured below is Matthew Harvey, in centre (with
mascot), a Grade 11 pupil at Camps Bay High School and member of 1st
Camps Bay / Sea Point Scout Group, who received his Springbok Badge, with
Chief Scout Commissioner Brian February, right, and Provincial Commissioner Llewellyn van Aarde on
Saturday 14 May. The badge is the top Scout award in the country which
is presented after the recipient achieves the requirements such as
completing at least 40 hours of Community Service, leading a hike over
30km in unfamiliar territory, and planning and constructing a large
pioneering project.
