On Monday 11 October at midday on Camps Bay beach, 160 grade 8’s (13 year olds) from Camps Bay High School walked the length of Camps Bay beach and left only one set of footprints to symbolise reduced environmental impact. They all walked down the beach in a long line stepping into each other's footsteps.
This event formed a small part of what looks to be the biggest, widest protest action the world has ever seen. On Sunday 10/10/10 (i.e. 10th October, 2010), in almost every country in the world, thousands of people gathered to make themselves heard on this matter.
